Rules and Guidelines

The Forums and Live Chat areas are where you can discuss with other game members in a comfortable and friendly atmosphere. Please be mindful of the rules as outlined below. Breaking the rules can lead to posting privileges being revoked and/or a full game ban. The rules below apply to General Forums, the Capo only forum and to Live Chat. A Forum ban will result in the loss of posting privileges to all of those areas and to Crew and Cartel Forums.

Rules and Regulations:

1. Members should post in a way that is respectful of other users. Personal attacks, vulgar language, e-stalking or abusing users in any way will not be tolerated and will lead to a warning and/or banning.

2. Forums other than “Trash Talk” (such as the game play and new player forums) are strictly moderated and no profanity or any type of negative banter or “trash talking” is acceptable. Vulgar language or personal attacks of any kind are not acceptable in any forum, even in “Trash Talk.”

3. Members should remember the game is aimed at a general audience. Posting pornographic or generally offensive text, images, links, etc. will not be tolerated and will lead to a warning and/or banning.

4. Members should post in a way that is consistent with "normal writing". That is, users should not post excessive numbers of emoticons, illegible text, emoji, or blank space, etc. Similarly, users should not SHOUT or use excessive punctuation (e.g.! and ?) in topic titles or posts.

5. Spam, which includes posting of the same topic over multiple threads or forums, or multiple postings of the same content-free reply is not tolerated here under any circumstances.

6. The moderating, support and other teams reserve the right to move, edit, or remove posts at any time. The determination of what is construed as indecent, vulgar, spam, etc. as noted in these points is up to ROASTED BRAINS Members and not users.

Additional Guidelines:

7. Directly posting as a form of dialogue or response to any ROASTED BRAINS staff member is not acceptable. “Dear ROASTED BRAINS” or “Hey Devs!” are not acceptable subject titles. You may address game questions to other players in the Gameplay Forum. From time to time, Devs will add additional color to certain topics. These are done strictly for your information; debate and griping is not an allowable response. Items that are feature based in nature but not already existing in the game should be posted in the Suggest Improvements forum, and you may seek support in Report Issues. Any threads/posts aimed directly at the company or its staff in a negative or sarcastic fashion is entirely prohibited and will be deleted. This includes direct defamation of the game or its creators, which will result in a strong warning and a possible immediate ban. “This Game Sucks”, “ROASTED BRAINS Fails”, “Boycott this game” will be immediately deleted and swiftly dealt with. We will protect our interests and you may not use our forums to defame them.

8. Player Abuse will be understood as specifically calling out a player to vulgarly attack them or bully them in an effort to demoralize them from playing. Competition is encouraged, and friendly banter is great. We encourage participation in the forums, but the positive aspects of that participation stops when you are starting multiple threads about a person, and/or personally attacking them in multiple threads in a way that is overly vicious or vulgar in language or intent. Such cases will be dealt with severity.

9. If your question or concern can be resolved or answered via recent threads or other sources, we ask that you go there first for resolution. Repetitive posts that are irrelevant or lack serious thought and focus will be deleted and possibly subject to warnings.

10. In an effort to unclog good threads we reserve the right to delete posts that are repetitive, unhelpful, or completely unrelated to the thread itself.

11. Generally being a nuisance by constantly posting sarcastic comments and/or taking digs at other members, may result in a warning. We will not allow “baiting” (comments for the sole purposes of eliciting a negative reaction) anywhere. We would suggest following the old adage “If you have nothing good to say, don’t say anything at all.”

12. The Warning system generally works in a 3 strikes and you’re out policy. By ‘out’, we mean that you will be prevented from being able to post on the Forums or chat, and if you continue that behavior elsewhere, will be removed from the game entirely. We reserve the right to accelerate this based on the nature and severity of the infraction. Do not engage the Moderator account in discussion, as the account is unmonitored.

13. In regards to rule #3, regarding offensive text. We consider anything that marginalizes or negatively speaks about a particular group of as offensive. This includes negative topics or posted based on race, sex, sexual orientation, religion, political views, etc.

14. If a new person starts a thread containing a question, please do not address them as “noob” or post sarcastic or incorrect information. Please be helpful in addressing the question or pointing them to the right place for the information. Everybody was a new player as some point in time.

15. Posting personal information about yourself or ANY player is strictly prohibited, even if such information is not correct.

16. Please do not bump (“push up”) old threads unless the topic is relevant for discussion or review at the current time.

17. If you receive a warning, don’t panic or take it personally. Reflect on your posts and critically examine the rules against what you’ve posted. Don’t engage the Moderators/Staff/Support about why you received your warning or why person A received / didn’t receive a warning. Take a step back and see that this is a Forum within a game; chances are you lost your cool or posted something vulgar in language or content. If you SERIOUSLY believe the error was of a clerical nature, please contact our support team via this email Please review your claim carefully before submission.
